Hibbs Homes Named Best Energy Efficient Home Builder
We are proud to share that we have been named the Best Energy Efficient Home Builder in Missouri by BUILD Magazine for the second year in a row! This award is given to home builders who work tirelessly to ensure the global community decreases its collective carbon footprint by employing high-performance building techniques that both reduce energy usage and material waste.
Our homes are built to the highest quality, above code - and held to multiple standards of energy efficiency.
We are thrilled to be recognized in 2020 for our dedication to incorporating energy-efficient home building practices into every home we build. Hibbs Homes is proud to be leading the way with our better-built custom homes.
We have been pioneers in green home building in the greater St Louis area. We are proud to have been tapped to spearhead some of the first high-performance initiatives in the state, including:
- Active House USA – The first Active House in North America, this home was built in Webster Groves and met or exceeded four North American sustainable building certifications: the National Green Building Standard, ENERGY STAR, EPA Indoor airPLUS, and Building America Builder Challenge.
- Proud Green Home – This Wildwood home was built to be, at the time, the most energy-efficient home in Missouri. Like Active House, this project also served as a classroom for Mizzou students and professionals throughout the design and construction industry.
