Located in the heart of downtown Kirkwood, MO, this energy-efficient new construction home was built for a family who previously lived in a dated, low-efficiency home on the same lot. They loved the prime location of their home, so they chose to sustainably deconstruct the home and build a new, highly energy efficient home in its place.
The home's exterior design was an important aspect in this project because their location is within a neighborhood filled with century-old homes, many designed in in the Queen Anne and Italianate architectural styles. The style of this infill home was carefully crafted to reflect the neighborhood's character and bring with it some of the same architectural elements in the home the client previously owned.
The attention to detail and focused efforts of the building team resulted in a timeless charm. In fact, almost a decade after construction, Houzz recognized Hibbs Homes as a 2023 Best of Design winner for this particular project.
Partnering with the Hibbs Homes design team, their architect of choice, and our expert home building team, our clients now have a home that is as charming as their previous house, but that operates with substantially more efficiency, is more comfortable, and is lower maintenance.
