Orem is known as a thriving family-friendly suburb and is home to some of Utah County's top schools. Fun Things to Do in Orem
Timpanogos Storytelling Conference & Festival - One of the largest storytelling festivals in the United States, this multi-day event takes place every year in Orem, Utah. The festival has been held annually since 1989 on Labor Day weekend at Thanksgiving Point in the Mt Timpanogos Park, which was founded to support the festival.
Hale Center Theater Orem - Another cultural gem, the Hale Center Theater in Orem is home to some of the best known stage productions - past and present - with semi-professional students and youth who come from the community and surrounding universities. The Theater offers classes and private lessons and has been named as the "Best Live Theater in Utah Valley" multiple times.
Murdock Canal Trail - This pristine 17-mile hike has trailheads in Orem, Lehi, and every three miles in between. The paved concrete path makes the trek easily accessible for people of all abilities and ideal for skaters as well as walkers. Part of the Golden Spoke trail network, the Murdock Canal Trail offers breathtaking views of the Wasatch Front.
Roots of Knowledge - This permanent stained glass installation is located in Utah Valley University, and depicts scenes from human history. Accessible to the public, there are virtual and audio tours available to guide you through this intricate visual storytelling experience.
